Reading a vault page

The vault page is where you decide whether to deposit. This guide walks through each section so you know what to look for.

Header and key stats​

At the top you will find the vault's name, ticker, and underlying asset, along with headline statistics:

  • TVL — total value locked in the vault.
  • APY 30d — recent annualized return.

A rating (out of 100) appears here when available.

How the vault settles​

T3tris vaults are request-based: when you deposit or redeem you submit a request, the curator processes it at the next settlement, and then you claim the result. The Last settlement time hints at how active the cadence is, check the description for the curator's stated schedule before you commit.

Description​

The description is written by the curator. It should explain the strategy, the risk profile, the mandate, and ideally the settlement cadence for closed vaults. Read it. It is your primary source for understanding what the vault actually does with your capital. If a vault has no description, treat that as a reason for extra caution.

Fees​

The fees panel lists the vault's:

  • Entry fee and exit fee — one-off, on the way in and out.
  • Management fee — annualized, charged on TVL.
  • Performance fee — a share of profit above the high-water mark.

Remember these are already reflected in the PPS and APY. Use them to compare vaults.

Performance​

The performance chart plots the vault's price per share over time. Because PPS is net of fees, this chart is effectively your after-fee return history. Look at:

  • the shape (steady growth, volatility, drawdowns), not just the endpoint;
  • how long the vault has been live — more history is more informative;
  • the gain over a period and any projected yield illustration.

A short or flat history means there is not yet enough data to judge the vault.

Composition​

Where available, the composition section breaks down what the vault holds. This helps you understand the underlying exposure rather than relying on the description alone.

Governance​

The governance section shows the addresses that control the vault — the vault contract, owner, curator, fee recipient, and oracle — plus any custom roles. This transparency lets you verify who is responsible for the vault and its valuation.

Activity​

The activity feed lists recent events — deposits, redemptions, valuations, and settlements — with links to the transactions. It is a live, verifiable record of what has been happening in the vault.

A pre-deposit checklist​

Before you deposit, make sure you can answer:

  1. What does this vault do? (description, composition)
  2. What does it cost? (fees)
  3. How has it performed, and for how long? (performance, APY)
  4. How often does it settle? (description, last settlement)
  5. Who controls it and its valuation? (governance)

If anything is unclear, do not deposit.
